Discover the exciting world of robotics in a unique outdoor setting! During this two-day STEM adventure, students will become engineers, programmers, and explorers as they build, code, and test robotic creations while enjoying hands-on learning by the lake. Combining technology with outdoor exploration, this program challenges participants to use creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills to complete a variety of robotics missions.
Students will learn the fundamentals of coding and robotics as they program robots to navigate obstacles, complete tasks, and respond to environmental challenges. Using the lakeside setting as their testing ground, participants will investigate how robots can be used to explore natural environments, collect information, and solve real-world problems. Through trial and error, students will test, troubleshoot, and improve their designs while learning about sensors, motion, navigation, engineering, and computer programming.
Throughout the program, campers will apply the engineering design process as they plan, build, test, and refine their robotic systems. Team challenges and outdoor missions will encourage collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation while helping students gain confidence in their STEM skills.
No previous robotics or coding experience is required. Whether students are new to robotics or already love building and programming, this engaging two-day experience offers plenty of opportunities to learn, experiment, and explore.
Host Site Information: Delta Lake Bible Conference Center is a fully equipped youth summer camp facility that is leasing its site to us for the duration of our program. While the center traditionally operates as a faith-based camp, we will be implementing our own independent programming while utilizing their full range of summer camp recreational amenities. We partner with a variety of community locations to provide accessible learning experiences, and the facility serves as the venue for our hands‑on STEM programming.
