Students turn potatoes into working batteries, discovering how electricity flows and how chemical energy can power small devices.

Squishy Circuits

Learners use conductive and insulating dough to build fun light‑up creations while exploring basic circuit principles.

LittleBits Engineering

Kids snap together electronic building blocks to explore inputs, outputs, sensors, and simple inventions.

Looking for ways to get your student involved in STEM, but without the multi-day commitment? Well we have the series for you:"STEM à la carte" - a scrumptious selection of STEM sessions! 

Our series is designed to be single day stand-alone STEM themed programs including (but not limited to) biology, chemistry, technology, and engineering! 

STEM à la carteoffers the flexibility to choose from a variety of STEM learning topics and schedule to best meet your needs. Each session operates as a stand‑alone program, fully independent from any other day’s activities.This flexible structure allows you to register for single‑day STEM experiences without committing to a full‑week schedule!

Biology

  • Explore fine details using EyeClops viewers or microscopes
  • Dissect seeds, plants, and other natural materials
  • Test water quality collected from local streams
  • Plant seeds and learn about photosynthesis and plant growth

Chemistry

  • Use baking soda and vinegar to launch rockets or build paper‑mâché volcanoes
  • Experiment with water‑pressure rockets
  • Dissolve eggshells using household safe chemicals to explore chemical reactions

Sphero Robotics
