Ready for takeoff! In the Drones program, students learn how drones fly, how pilots control them, and how they’re used in the real world - from photography to search and rescue. Kids will explore flight mechanics, safety, and navigation while practicing hands‑on piloting skills through guided challenges and fun missions. This program encourages focus, coordination, and critical thinking.
Registration for this schedule starts on 02/03/2026 and ends on 06/14/2026
Participants must currently be in grades 3 to 6.
Can you crack the code? Students step into the role of cyber detectives as they solve digital puzzles, uncover clues, and learn how information is protected online. This program introduces cybersecurity concepts like passwords, encryption, and safe online behavior through interactive games and team challenges. It’s a fun, empowering way to build problem‑solving skills and digital awareness.

This summer, students in grades 3–6 can take part in our STEM Circuit, a multi‑week program offered in partnership with LEAP, the Rome City School District’s summer learning initiative. Each week will host a series of engaging STEM experiences designed to spark curiosity, build creativity, and encourage hands‑on problem‑solving. Our programs will begin each day immediately after the LEAP program (see RomeCSD to register for LEAP).
During the final two weeks of the circuit, sessions will expand into full‑day, hands‑on programming from Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Students can join for a single week or participate across both weeks.
Week 1: Coding with Minecraft
Students use the world of Minecraft to learn coding fundamentals, solve logic puzzles, and design interactive builds. This week blends creativity, digital problem‑solving, and guided exploration as campers bring their ideas to life in a safe, structured environment.
Week 2: Robotics
Campers dive into the basics of robotics by working with age‑appropriate building and coding tools. Through robot challenges, navigation tasks, and collaborative problem‑solving, students learn how robots sense, move, and respond to the world around them.
