PASSPORT (2025-26)

PASSPORT is a daily after-school STEM program for students in grades 2–6, hosted at Griffiss Institute in Rome. Through hands-on, project-based learning, kids dive into exciting activities that spark imagination and build real-world skills in science, technology, engineering, and math. While transportation is provided from Rome City elementary school, the program is open to students from neighboring districts.

Program Information

• Grade Level: 2nd - 6th
• Schedule: After-school until 5:00 PM, extended care available for certain school holidays at no extra cost!
• Location: Griffiss Institute, 592 Hangar Road, Rome, 13441
• Transportation for students in district with Rome Central School District is available from Rome Elementary schools, parent / guardian pickup by 5:00 PM at Griffiss Institute
• What to bring: Excitement for hands-on STEM learning and fun! Snacks will be provided!

Cost

• Families who commit to at least 2-months of enrollment, will recieve a discounted rate of $50 /week (regular is $75 /week). You will recieve a follow-up email where you can indicate whether you would like to opt into, or out of, the 2-month commitment. If choosing to opt in, your charge will be adjusted to reflect 2-months of the program - expected to be completed before your program start date.
• Extended care included for half days and several full days off per Rome Elementary calendar
• 2-day and 3-day options available (if requests exceed capacity, 5-day enrollments take precedence)
• Limited drop-in slots for pre-registered students: $30/day (requires 2-day notice)

PASSPORT goes beyond after-school care. With extended hours during half days and full days off, we’re here to support your family’s schedule while keeping students engaged and inspired. Even better; there is no additional charge for the below extended care options!

Half Days Care
